If you have been accepted into the Austin market and wish to offer samples under any circumstance during the event, you will be required to pay the Austin Public Health Temporary Food Event Application fee and meet the hand washing station requirements within your Booth Space. If you are offering any temperature control for safety products, you will be required to obtain a permit regardless of sampling. You will need to submit your permit payment to our team within the required deadline noted in your acceptance email.

Food and drink makers may be required to be covered under a temporary health permit for our event.
Vendors should reach out to the DuPage County Health Department (Phone: 630-221-7185) with questions before submitting application and payment because this permit is non-refundable.
A temporary food permit is required if food is handled or prepared on-site, food items require refrigeration/hot holding for transportation or on-site at event.
Food items prepared in a private home kitchen are prohibited unless under Illinois Cottage Food Law (vendor must provide proof of Illinois Cottage Food Registration Approval).

If you wish to attend the San Diego market as a food & drink vendor, you are required to obtain a permit, regardless if you are sampling. If you believe you fall under Cottage Food Operations you need to confirm this directly with the County of San Diego. If you are already covered with San Diego County permit, you will need provide our team with the permit number. If you do not have an existing permit you will need to obtain a permit (unpackaged or packaged). You will need to consult the Health Department on up to date permit pricing.

If you wish to attend the San Diego market as a food & drink vendor, you are required to obtain a permit, regardless if you are sampling. If you believe you fall under Cottage Food Operations you need to confirm this directly with the County of San Diego. If you are already covered with San Diego County permit, you will need provide our team with the permit number. If you do to have an existing permit you will need to obtain a permit; the vendors fee for unpackaged products (to include sampling or prepping onsite) is $251, and the vendors fee for packaged products (sealed with no sampling) is $148.

Please note that a 3-compartment sink with overhead protection is required if you are one of our makers serving ready to consume products, you will need to confirm with our team that you have your own 3-compartment sink you will be bringing to the event along with clarification on your water source (public, private/well, small water system or 3-comp sink freshwater tanks), and wastewater disposal plan.

WHITE TENTS/UMBRELLAS
Makers are required to use white tents or umbrellas in the Jungle Plaza in Miami unless otherwise coordinated with written approval Markets for Makers at least two weeks out from a market. Makers in a table space are required to use a white 5×5 popup tent or white umbrella. Makers in a booth space are required to use a white 10×10 popup tent. Makers in a double booth space are required to use two white 10×10 popup tents or one white 20×10 popup tent.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Markets for Makers LLC may adjust hours of the Event due to forces of nature or other occurrences beyond our control in the name of safety. Such changes will not be considered a breach of this agreement, and will not constitute grounds for a refund.
LIABILITY & DAMAGES
You are responsible for any damages caused by your company to the venue, the market, attendees or other makers.
Tents must fit in the space provided and be able to withstand inclement weather. Tents or umbrellas must be fully weighted on all corners so it is secure despite wind. It is the Maker’s responsibility to ensure that tents will never become a threat to other Makers or attendees.
Makers are fully responsible for their own personal property. Neither Markets for Makers LLC nor the venue will assume liability for any losses that you may incur including overnight stays of the market.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Application fees are paid upfront and are non refundable. Booth fees and booth credit card processing fees (3.99%) are non-refundable after acceptance.
Once a maker is accepted into a market, we do not issue any refunds or credits under any circumstances. This includes unforeseeable events including but not limited to pandemic outbreaks, new regulations prohibiting gatherings, Maker (or your staff) contracting COVID-19, government regulations, hurricanes or other weather related events.
In the case that you have to cancel or simply cannot attend, please email hello@marketsformakers.com as soon as possible. Day-of cancellations and no-shows without any communication will affect future acceptances.
Please note that if you are accepted into the market, space fees have increased by $25 for all spaces (Tables, Booths and Food Truck fees) as the City of Chicago now requires a Pop-Up Host License. Hosts will submit a single license application with a list of all participating vendors. The resulting license issued to the show host will cover the host and all participating vendors on the list. The per-user vendor fee for a show lasting 5 days or less is $25 and 100% of this fee goes to the City of Chicago to meet their requirements.
Makers must live as a primary residence within Florida to qualify for our “Locals Only” market.
The purpose of this market is to support Florida based companies.
